Ramallah Chest Panel:

Ramallah embroidery has a distinct characteristic of its own. White linen fabric, called Roumi, was woven locally with a specific width and embellished with red and black cross stitch embroidery. Some of the most famous motifs and patterns typical of this area are: The Leech, which is Ollaiq in the form of a capital "S", a symbol of good health and survival; Tall Palms, with a Zigzag motif, Cauliflower; Apples arch, Bachelors cushions, Bakers Wife, Carnation, Cypress Trees, Flowers pots, Foreing Rainbow, Geese, Peacock Branch, Rooster and the Snake and the Serpent, Stars.
